How much do the stars of the Amsterdam powerhouse earn annually and who receives the most into their account?
Ajax may no longer be able to compete financially with the big guns from the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A and Bundesliga, but the Amsterdam giants remain one of the clubs with the greatest financial clout in the Eredivisie.
They managed to convince players like Dusan Tadic and Daley Blind to make the move to the Johan Cruijff ArenA from the aforementioned Premier League, while Nicolas Tagliafico and Hakim Ziyech were also on the payroll for significant amounts in recent years.
Nowadays, Ajax have to be a bit more mindful of their budget after a number of unfortunate investments in players during the Sven Mislintat era, but there are still quite a few high earners on the payroll.
But who is the highest earner at Ajax this season? And who is on the opposite end of the spectrum?
GOAL delved into the numbers from Capology and found out!

Current first-choice goalkeeper Remko Pasveer is also the highest-paid among the first-team shot stoppers, although he is certainly not a top earner compared to players in other positions.
Diant Ramaj's salary might be lower than most people would expect, but the young German was a relatively inexperienced player with little to no experience at the highest level when he joined the club, regardless of the relatively high transfer fee.

It will not be much of a surprise that Daniele Rugani is at the top of the list here. The experienced Italian is on loan from Juventus and has a salary that fits a well-established name at a top club in Serie A.
The amount Josip Sutalo earns may have raised some eyebrows in his first season at the club, but the Croatia international has since redeemed himself somewhat, even if his performances still don't quite match his salary.
Ajax fans will not be overly pleased looking at the annual salary of Owen Wijndal, who has not met expectations since his transfer from AZ.

Midfielders
No surprises in midfield either. Jordan Henderson gave up a lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia to make the move to Ajax, and was well compensated to make that decision. Steven Berghuis will also not be dissatisfied with the salary he secured with his transfer from arch-rivals Feyenoord.
The current salary of Davy Klaassen is unknown, although it was extensively described upon his return that the experienced midfielder had to make significant sacrificises compared to his previous contracts.

Brian Brobbey is the absolute top earner up front after returning to Ajax following his failed stint at RB Leipzig, while his main rival for the No.9 position, Wout Weghorst, also can't complain about his hefty salary.
The young Mika Godts signed an improved contract in November 2024 after developing into a first-team regular, but he still has to settle for a significantly lower amount than some of the club's benchwarmers.
